DJ Emily PupStar (Starlight to most) is a DJ from West Haven, CT who plays mostly house music, but also enjoys trance, drum&bass, and happy hardcore. They started exploring mixing using DJ apps during the pandemic and in October 2021 bought their first DJ controller, a Pioneer DDJ-400.

Through their involvement in social organization Connecticut Pets and Handlers, DJ PupStar has hosted monthly events (and continues to) for the queer and kink communities at 168 York St Cafe in New Haven. The next CT-PAH Pet Night event is Friday March 20^th!

In addition to spinning monthly at York St Cafe, Starlight has played birthday parties, corporate events, Pride parties, and several (unofficial) Partners Cafe afterparties hosted by various New Haven Nightlife influencers.

From January 2022 to July 2023, DJ PupStar did a weekly DJ show on their Twitch channel called Monday Night Disco. MND was streamed from a conference room at District Cowork in New Haven, but they have also played on location at several places in southern Connecticut including Soundview Community Television, Scents Fur All Studios, and Hammonasset State Park.

Her current equipment consists of a PioneerDJ XDJ-XZ, 2 18" Harbinger PAs, 1 12" Harbinger Subwoofer, pair of MAudio 6" monitors, tables, cables, and a canopy tent.
